World Wide Web

Right now, the World Wide Web has everything you can ask for, besides classified information. I honestly don't know what I can expect to be provided here on the internet besides, getting rid of annoying pop ups and ads from a lot of websites.

By reading a short description of "Cloud Computing", I think that instead of software being installed on the actual computer its installed on servers and you can basically access that software from anywhere and any device.

"software offered as an Internet-based service can be developed, tested, and run on a computing platform of the vendor’s choosing. Updates and bug fixes are deployed in minutes."

The only pro i can think of is that you can access the software from anywhere you are. The cons are that wouldn't it be using browser (plugins such as flash and java) and internet speed instead of the actual computer's specs? So it may cause the browser to crash if there was a big program online such as Photoshop or any other program with a verity of options and tools that render as well?

Communication

From watching the short video of "Texting while walking affects your balance" I highly don't recommend texting when walking. Not because of embarrassing moments and serious issues, but also thieves. The video didn't cover up about that thieves can snatch your phone out of your hands while your texting or listening to music. I use Google Voice to text, since i don't have service on my iPhone (I just use it for WiFi). So when I'm walking to the bus stop or anywhere I'm focus where I'm heading to. I don't have my phone in my hands. And when i get home my phone connects to the WiFi and right away Google Voice notifies me that I have a text, for i can text safely at home. For me texting is not a useful too besides if you are a calm

I think having a class that involves Skype is a great idea because it's like watching a movie. But you can actually reply to the person narrating the Skype call. But the ONLY downside is that the students or who ever is watching it doesn't have a good quality. I know for sure the presidents gather in a secret special room and they are using a software better than Skype but its more secure. And the presidents talk about things they need to handle. So if using Skype for a class, ill get a HD camera to see my audience better.
