Cyberbullying

Cyberbullying is what it sounds as if it was bullying in school, only online. There are various of ways cyber bullying. An example can be when some one is being threaten over the Internet. Like posting comments saying that she is not physically attracted, exposing her secrets that are very personal, and there are many more.
In the Miami case of a girl that killed herself, it stated, "'That Dead Girl' and delivered a message to two friends, saying goodbye forever." After reading the user name of the girl that's a bone chilling moment because the girl did die. She wanted to send a messages to stop cyber bullying.

AI and Robotics

Robots can do what Humans can, IF they are properly programmed to do so. Right now I'm taking programming class and what I've been learning is how to code (simple programs to do simple task.) I learned that programming is case sensitive so one little mistake the code wont work. So I believe is the same thing with a robot. If the robot is not programmed correctly then it wont do that task you wanted it do.
Human usually makes more errors. Human makes the errors because if the human doesnt program the robot to do the task the proper way, with out checking the program and testing the program multiple times, then the robot will do the errors. But the robot does the errors because the human made an error while her or she was programming it.
"The results of the study showed that 46 per cent of participants obeyed the robot’s orders for a full 80 minutes, even when they did not enjoy completing the task at hand." I believe that this does not prove whether the robots is a good idea to have or not. It only proves if humans listen to the robot. They should had put why the humans didn't enjoy it. Was it because the robot was spitting out task really fast and not giving them time? or Was it because it was too much or too long?

Security and Privacy

According to the article of the Target attack, when the credit card was introduce it was a change already. A credit card uses a magnetic strip that hold your personal information. In the US credit cards and debit cards are used by alot of the population. So hackers have a wide choice of stealing majority of the peoples information. But in Canada and UK they have a more updated version of the credit card that has a little chip. The problem of credit card theft in those countries must had been a bigger concern forcing them to upgrade their security. USA should also use the same technology. An example I can compare this to is Microsoft. Microsoft has released a operating system called "Windows XP" around 13 years ago. But Microsoft is forcing the people and the business s' that have XP to upgrade because soon they will stop making updates and security will be at risk. 33% of the people that have PCs are at risk because if they don't, attackers may target, SPECIALLY business that have XP and steal information. Over all, not only to credit cards, security has to develop more faster and stronger because technology is advancing a little TOO fast. Even cars can be unlocked and started by using a iPhone, imagine a hacker hacking into your car and driving away with it? Security must be taken and developed VERY seriously.

World Wide Web

Right now, the World Wide Web has everything you can ask for, besides classified information. I honestly don't know what I can expect to be provided here on the internet besides, getting rid of annoying pop ups and ads from a lot of websites.

By reading a short description of "Cloud Computing", I think that instead of software being installed on the actual computer its installed on servers and you can basically access that software from anywhere and any device.

"software offered as an Internet-based service can be developed, tested, and run on a computing platform of the vendor’s choosing. Updates and bug fixes are deployed in minutes."

The only pro i can think of is that you can access the software from anywhere you are. The cons are that wouldn't it be using browser (plugins such as flash and java) and internet speed instead of the actual computer's specs? So it may cause the browser to crash if there was a big program online such as Photoshop or any other program with a verity of options and tools that render as well?

Communication

From watching the short video of "Texting while walking affects your balance" I highly don't recommend texting when walking. Not because of embarrassing moments and serious issues, but also thieves. The video didn't cover up about that thieves can snatch your phone out of your hands while your texting or listening to music. I use Google Voice to text, since i don't have service on my iPhone (I just use it for WiFi). So when I'm walking to the bus stop or anywhere I'm focus where I'm heading to. I don't have my phone in my hands. And when i get home my phone connects to the WiFi and right away Google Voice notifies me that I have a text, for i can text safely at home. For me texting is not a useful too besides if you are a calm

I think having a class that involves Skype is a great idea because it's like watching a movie. But you can actually reply to the person narrating the Skype call. But the ONLY downside is that the students or who ever is watching it doesn't have a good quality. I know for sure the presidents gather in a secret special room and they are using a software better than Skype but its more secure. And the presidents talk about things they need to handle. So if using Skype for a class, ill get a HD camera to see my audience better.

Hello!

Hi I'm Hector Bautista and this is my blog.
What I think about a course integrating a blog is that we can express and share how each of us are different. We can read people stories and see their pictures. Some of us maybe interested on whats the next thing they'll post. But blogs are suppose to be accomplishments and how our days went, not about talking smack about other people.

It's like what one of the topics in "60 ways to use Twitter in the Classroom" (Classroom Connections). Its a more better, professional, and formal way to express our feelings then Facebook. in Facebook you write statuses about anything, but in a blog its more different. In a blog is more detail manner.
